Setting the stage...
As a follow up to last year’s School History Walks at Rogers and the Mural Project at Strawberry Vale, Mr. Richey has been working with students to identify the things about their school that matter most to them. This past Fall, students brainstormed ideas and created self-portraits. We also enjoyed a visit from local storyteller, Robert "Lucky" Budd, who spoke about his work and the value of sharing our stories as a way of recording history
This Winter, students have been sharing their school experiences through photography, art, and poetry...all in an effort to add to our schools' incredible histories!
These documents will be brought together in the form of a big book (print and electronic) featuring full page spreads of each student (It's going to be a big book!).
